Biography
Born in Valladolid, Sofía Puente holds a degree in Law from the University of Valladolid (1993) and has served as a public prosecutor since 1996. In this capacity, she has worked in Cádiz, Plasencia, Zamora, Palencia and Valladolid.
Between 2010 and 2012, she was Director of the Centre for Legal Studies of Spain. From 2014 to 2018, she served as a member of the Prosecutorial Council, and from 2020 to 2023, she held the position of Director General for Legal Security and Public Faith at the Ministry of Justice of Spain.
Since 2023, Ms Puente has served as Secretary-General for Quality and Innovation in the Public Service of Justice at the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with Parliament of Spain.
