Biography
Antoliano Peralta Romero is the Head Legal Adviser to the President of the Dominican Republic. He holds a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), and has pursued postgraduate studies in public law. He has also participated in numerous national and international seminars and professional development programmes in both public and private law.
Throughout his career, Mr Peralta Romero has worked as a litigation attorney and legal consultant, with particular expertise in electoral law. He has held leadership roles in the Dominican legal community, including Vice President of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic (CARD) and Secretary General of the Dominican Association of Lawyers (ADOMA).
He is the co-author of Reformas a la Constitución Política Dominicana and author of Precisiones Jurídicas y Otros Temas. In addition to his publications, he has contributed as a columnist to various Dominican newspapers and has spoken nationally and internationally on legal issues.
A dedicated legal educator, he has taught at the university level and currently serves as an instructor at the National School of Notarial Training (ECANOT). In 2020, he was appointed Head Legal Adviser to the President by Decree No. 324-20. More recently, he was named Coordinator of the Commission for the Implementation of the Organic Law of the Ministry of Justice (Law No. 80-25) by Presidential Instruction No. 23328.
