VISA INFORMATION

For those requiring a visa to attend, please review the information and follow the procedure for national visas of the Government of Spain: National visas (exteriores.gob.es). You must apply for a visa from your home country or a country where you are a legal resident. Please contact your Ministry for Foreign Affairs for any visa related queries.

VENUE

The conference was held in Casa de América, which is located in Plaza Cibeles, s/n, 28014 Madrid, Spain. More information of how to access can be found in the Attendee Logistics Note.

TRANSPORTATION TO THE CONFERENCE VENUE

For the participants who arrive at the main Airport Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, there are several public transport options to get to the venue of Casa de América, which are described below. The proposed hotels are located very close to the venue.

Transportation and accomodation

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT MADRID-BARAJAS TO CASA DE AMÉRICA

1) RENFE railway company C1 or C10 (30')

Airport - Recoletos station (6 minutes walking to Casa de América).
Single ticket tariff: 2.60€.
Schedule: The first train to Madrid (Principe Pío) leaves at 5.56 hours, and the last at 22.25 hours.

2) Bus 203-Exprés (35-40')

Stop in Cibeles (Casa de América) – Madrid city center.
Price: 5€.
Schedule: every 15-20 minutes during daytime service (from 6:00 to 23:30) and every 35 minutes during night-time service (from 23:30 to 6:00 – called N27 Exprés Airport).

3) Line 8 Metro Airport (35-40')

L8 metro Airport – Nuevos Ministerios.
Switch to train C7 (or C1, C2, C10): Nuevos Ministerios - Recoletos (6 minutes walking to Casa de América).
Price: single ticket (1.5-2€) + extra airport (3€).
Schedule: From 6.05 a.m. (morning) to 1.30 a.m. (night).

4) Bus 200 (45-50')

Bus 200: From Airport to Avenida de América.
Switch to Bus 52: From Príncipe de Vergara-María Molina to Cibeles.
Price single bus ticket: 1.50€.
Schedule: Opening hours from 5.00 to 23.30 with buses every 10-20 minutes.

5) Taxi/carsharing services (20')

Airport - Madrid center: fixed price of 30 €.
