Description

Anabela Serrão is a member of the board of directors of the Educational Assessment Institute (IAVE, I.P.) from the Ministry of Education in Portugal since 2019. At IAVE, Anabela Serrão is responsible for coordinating all international student assessments in which Portugal participates, such as PISA, TIMSS, ICILS and PIRLS. Anabela is the PISA NPM for Portugal and also a member of ADG - PISA Analysis and Dissemination Group from OECD. She’s also the NRC for TIMSS, PIRLS and ICILS and member of the Questionnaire Group Development of TIMSS and PIRLS from IEA TIMSS&PIRLS Boston College. Anabela has a degree in Sociology from NOVA-FCSH with a specialisation in Data Analysis for the Social Sciences from ISCTE-IUL. She has also several training in the areas of data analysis and statistics.
