Emil Rodríguez Garabot is an architect from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in the Dominican Republic and holds a European Master’s in Urbanism from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain. In 2010, he was awarded the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship (Fulbright), which allowed him to complete the SPURS program at MIT. In 2025, he became an Eisenhower Global Fellow. He has worked across the public and private sectors as well as with multilateral agencies, building a successful international career in urban planning and design. Currently, he serves as Director of Habitat and Sustainable Mobility at CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, where he oversees regional initiatives aimed at promoting livable cities, improving urban infrastructure, and advancing climate-smart mobility systems.
