Description
Russell Bishop is Head of Sustainable Finance Policy at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. As part of the Climate Strategy and Delivery Department Russell oversees the design and implementation of EBRDs sustainable finance approaches, including the Paris Agreement alignment of all Bank investments and how the bank measures green finance.
Prior to joining the EBRD Russell led the low-income country programme of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate as a Senior Research Fellow of the Overseas Development Institute, worked as a Senior Economist at the Global Green Growth Institute in Ethiopia, and held various roles in the UK Civil Service.
