Description
Gareth is Manager of the Climate and Environment Finance Division at the African Development Bank. Trained as a Forester, Gareth has undertaken GHG accounting in a wide variety of sectors, validating and verifying projects and emission inventories for the UK Emissions Trading Scheme, Clean Development Mechanism and the EU Emission Trading Systems. Gareth’s work currently focuses on mobilising climate finance with a focus on adaptation needs in Africa, MDB Paris Alignment, and the development and piloting of the Adaptation Benefits Mechanism under Article 6.8.
