Description

Rob is Executive Director and Professor in Practice at the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx), which he joined in March 2025. He sets the Centre's strategic direction and policy research priorities, manages relationships with central banks, finance ministries and international organisations; and oversees governance, staffing and funding. Rob has over two decades of experience with central banks, finance ministries and international organisations on financial systems, climate, and policy. At Bank of England he was head of the market intelligence and analysis division and led analytical work for monetary and financial policy committees. Prior to this, he was head of the financial markets division at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, where he led work on sustainability and financial markets. He represented the OECD at the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, the Network for the Greening of the Financial System, and other international fora. He also spent fifteen years in managerial and analytical roles at the Financial Stability Board in Basel, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the European Central Bank.
