Description

With more than 10 years of experience in public administration, politics, and IT&C, I am currently the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitization at the Government of Romania. In this role, I oversee the development and implementation of national policies and strategies to foster a culture of innovation, research, and digitalization across all sectors and domains. I also represent Romania in the European Union and other international forums on matters related to research, innovation, and digitization. Previously, I was a MP and the Vice-President of the IT&C Committee at the Romanian Parliament, where I contributed to the legislative framework and oversight of the IT&C sector in Romania. I have a Master of Public Administration/PR from BabeÈ™-Bolyai University and I am PhD candidate in Sociology at Bucharest University. I have also acquired multiple skills in public policy, IT&C, digital transformation, and communication. I am passionate about using research, innovation, and digitization tools to improve the quality of life, the social cohesion, and the economic competitiveness of Romania and the EU. I believe in working with integrity, transparency, and collaboration to achieve the best outcomes for the public interest.
