Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki was born in 1981 in the East Kazakhstan region. He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh State University, K. Satpayev Kazakh State Technical University. Academic degree, academic title: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Career: He began his career in 2002 as a teacher of physics and mathematics at the Republican Medical College, Almaty. In 2003, he worked as a software engineer at the Center for Technological Research of Kazakhoil CJSC, Zhanaozen. 2004-2012 — Assistant, lecturer, senior lecturer, Associate Professor, Deputy Dean for Educational Work, Head of the Department of "Informatics" of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 2012-2013 — Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 2013-2016 — Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 2016-2017 — Director of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 2017-2020 — President of the University of International Business. From August 2020 to October 2022 — Rector of Astana IT University. Since November 1, 2022 — Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
