Cécile Vergier is Advisor for Social Economy in the Department of Economic Development of the City of Montreal. She works with entrepreneurs and support organisations to foster the social economy in Montreal, by co-constructing programs and measures that create and reinforce a favorable ecosystem. A civil servant for more than 15 years, Cécile Vergier has previously developed and implemented public policies for the Social economy for the Conseil Régional d'Île-de-France (Paris Region). In Quebec, she worked with the Chantier de l’économie sociale for the development of international knowledge transfer on the social economy. She holds a Master degree from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris.
