Description
Minister of National Planning and Economic Policy since August 2025. He served as Deputy Minister of Planning between May 2022 and July 2025, and chaired the Board of Directors of the Housing Mortgage Bank on behalf of the Executive Branch from September 2023 to July 2025.
He is an Economist, Lawyer, and Business Administrator, with master’s degrees in Public Administration (Public Management and International Trade & Customs) and in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant and Private Accountant.
In the private sector, he held senior management positions at Kuehne + Nagel, Gas TOMZA de Costa Rica, and Megaprocesos, S.A., an auditing firm allied with Praxity International. He has also provided professional advisory services to public institutions and civil society organizations on issues related to his academic background.
