Dr. Camilo D. Benítez Aldana Lawyer, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at the National University of Asunción. Specialist and Master in Legal Argumentation from the University of Alicante, Spain. Graduate of the Judicial School of the Judicial Council of Paraguay. Doctor of Law from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the National University of Asunción, with Summa Cum Laude distinction. He served as Assistant Professor of the course Bankruptcy at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the National University of Asunción, and as Bankruptcy Trustee from 2011 to November 2016. On November 2, 2016, he was elected by the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Nation to serve as Deputy Comptroller General. Subsequently, on April 26, 2019, he was appointed Comptroller General for the 2016–2021 term. On September 8, 2021, he was re-elected by the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Nation as Comptroller General for the 2021–2026 term. He served as President of the Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions of MERCOSUR and Associates (EFSUR) during the 2020–2022 period. He currently serves as President of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS) for the 2023–2025 period, unanimously elected at the XXXI Ordinary General Assembly of OLACEFS, in accordance with Resolution No. 31/2022/AG of September 23, 2022, in Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico. He was recently elected President of the Special Technical Commission on the Environment (COMTEMA) of OLACEFS for the 2025–2027 term.
