Description
Economist from the Free University of Berlin and the German Development Institute, with a specialization in International Finance from the University of North Carolina, USA. He began his professional career at the World Bank, focusing on the provision of infrastructure and public services by the private sector.
He then worked in the Government of Colombia as Head of the Business Development and Infrastructure Units. Subsequently, he held several executive positions in the energy sector, including Executive Vice President of Petrocolombia and Country Manager of TransCanada Pipelines in Colombia, as well as Executive Vice President of Sithe Energies (a subsidiary of the Blackstone Private Equity Group) in the USA.
More recently, he served as President of AngloGold Ashanti Colombia and as Vice President of Operations and Sustainability at ACP. He currently works in the structuring and investment banking division of the National Development Finance Institution (Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional).
