Manpreet Deol is one of the 23 members of the OECD’s Youth Advisory Board #Youthwise, bringing youth perspectives on the most pressing issues impacting the Future of Work to global decision-making tables. Currently studying at the Oxford Internet Institute as one of two Rhodes Scholars from University of Calgary, Canada, Manpreet Deol is examining digital accessibility and inclusive technology development. She focuses on how technology could be more ethical and inclusive for everyone. Manpreet finished an engineering undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary, including mechanical engineering with a focus on biomedical engineering. During this period she took part in two exchange programmes abroad, interned with Garmin for a year in their innovation team and competed in multiple Canadian and international engineering competitions. Not only is she deeply interested in the intersection between engineering and entrepreneurship, inclusion work and design thinking, but she is also a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion.
