Description

Mathilde Mesnard is Acting Director for Financial and Enterprise Affairs at the OECD, where she provides intellectual leadership, co-ordinates and manages OECD work related to markets (across competition, financial regulation, pension and insurance and international investment) and business conduct (across anti-corruption, responsible business conduct and corporate governance). As such she oversees the development, revision and implementation of a number of key international standards related to business and finance, represents the OECD in a number of high-level fora and manages a Directorate of 250+ experts. Ms Mesnard has been Deputy Director for Financial and Enterprise Affairs since 2016. Previously, she was Coordinator of the New Approaches to Economic Challenges (NAEC) Initiative and Senior Advisor to the OECD Secretary-General, where she launched an OECD-wide project on integrity and anti-corruption. From 2001-2009, she was an economist working on corporate governance and developed the OECD Guidelines on corporate governance of SOEs. Ms. Mesnard previously held positions as management consultant with Deloitte & Touche and Financial Analyst at Citibank. She holds a PhD in Economics from the EHESS, a Master’s Degree in Finance from the ESCP, and an MBA from Drexel University, in addition to a bachelor degree in Philosophy.
