Ms. Cody Taylor brings nearly 30 years of public and private sector experience to her leadership of Group Government Relations and Public Affairs at ABB, a USD 33B/year 110K employee-strong global technology leader in electrification and automation. She is based in Switzerland. Previously, Ms. Taylor led the strategy and execution of automotive supplier Garrett Motion’s global government and policy engagement, based in Switzerland. At Garrett, she directed EU, China and US advocacy efforts for policy issues critical to the future of mobility. She also led government partnership activities for innovation and investment for Garrett’s commercial, manufacturing and R&D operations in 15+ countries. At GlaxoSmithKline in Belgium, Ms. Taylor created market development and advocacy strategies for GSK’s vaccine portfolio globally. Earlier, she directed Dow Chemical’s innovation and investment funding opportunities with governments in Europe for growth platform market areas including renewable energy, water, infrastructure and composites. Ms. Taylor also spent 7 years as a diplomat for the United States, with postings in South Asia, North Africa, and Southeast Asia. Prior to her diplomatic career, she developed community relations programs for Credit Suisse’s investment banking arm in New York. Ms. Taylor holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
