Description
Dr Frances van Ruth is Head of Investment – Europe, Middle East and Africa and Net Zero Investment Lead at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade). Over more than 10 years at Austrade Frances has held a variety of roles including Head of Investment Strategy, Insights and Performance; International Freight Assistance Mechanism Program Lead; Deputy Consul General and Trade & Investment Commissioner, San Francisco; and State Director, Victoria.
Prior to Austrade Frances worked in international strategy and business development roles for the State Government of Victoria and held international business research and teaching positions at The University of Melbourne and The University of South Australia.
Frances is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has a PhD from The University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of International Business (Hons) from Flinders University.
