Biography
Economist and specialist in statistics and economic and social indicators, with more than 3 decades of experience in official statistics, he is a graduate of the master's degree in scientific research from the National University of Callao. He also has specialized studies in Spain in short-term statistics and annual surveys.
He was in charge as Head of INEI between March-October 2024 and has represented INEI in several technical forums such as Internal Migration, mobility to study and work in five metropolitan areas of Peru, using data from two population censuses. He participated as a panelist in June 2023 in the Regional Seminar “Contribution of International Migration to the sustainable development of Latin America and also in the Second Regional Review Meeting for the implementation of the Global Compact for Migration, in March 2025 in Santiago, Chile.
