Biography
Mrs. Eva-Lo Ighe is the new Director-General of Statistics Sweden (SCB). Prior to this role, she served as Director-General of the Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate where she served for five years. On April 1st, 2025, she entered her new position at SCB.
Eva-Lo Ighe holds a degree in statistics from Stockholm University. She has also held several key leadership positions in government agencies, including serving as Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Forensic Psychiatry at the Swedish National Board of Forensic Medicine.
