Biography
Erich Ettlin (*1962) is a certified Business Economist, Accountant and Tax Advisor. He has been a Member of the Council of States since 2015 and is part of the Centre Group. At present, he is Vice-President of the Economic Affairs and Taxation Committee as well as of the Standing Parliamentary Delegation for Participation in OECD Activities. He is furthermore sitting in the Finance Committee, the Social Security and Health Committee and the Drafting Committee, that he is currently chairing. In addition to his parliamentary activity, Erich Ettlin is a Tax Partner at BDO Ltd, a leading audit, business services and advisory firm in Switzerland. From 1996 to 2001 he was Head of the tax administration of the canton of Obwalden.
