Description
Anja Clausin has been appointed Director General of the Swedish National Agency for Public Procurement in 2024. Previously, she was the Director of Business and Head of the Market and Procurement division at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). She joined FMV in 2019, coming from her role as Head of Procurement at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. During her time at FMV, Clausin has significantly developed the agency's procurement work, leading efforts even amidst challenges like the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Under her leadership, FMV managed increased budget allocations, supported defense capabilities, and enhanced international partnerships. During the same time, she also served as Sweden’s representative in the NATO Support and Procurement Organisation´s (”NSPO”) steering committee the Agency Supervisory Board (”ASB”). Before joining FMV, she worked in the private sector and managed a wide range of portfolios at companies like Apoteket, Pulsen, and Ericcson.
Ms. Clausin holds a Master’s (1998–1999) and Bachelor’s (1996–1998) in Political Science from the University of Stockholm, attended law school at the University of Paris Assas II (1995–1996), and completed additional studies in law, languages, and mathematics at Stockholm and Uppsala universities (1993–1995).
