Description
Barbara Gibbon has more than 25 years of experience in the Canadian public service, with a career that spans policy, program management and corporate roles at several departments, including the Finance and transportation ministries. She is currently Director General at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, responsible for the Innovative Solutions Canada program. Innovative Solutions Canada (ISC) leverages the government's purchasing power to connect Canadian innovators with federal departments, supporting technology development, real-world testing, and subsequent procurement. Previously, Barbara was the Director General of Canada’s Global Innovation Clusters and also served as Director of Innovation at the Rideau Hall Foundation.
