Description
Mircea Abrudean is the Secretary General of the Government of Romania (SGG) with rank of minister. He oversees the activities of the institution whose main role is to ensure the technical and strategic operations related to Government decisions, a public institution that is serving as the link and stability element of the governing act.
During 2021-2023, he was the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery (rank of minister) and coordinated this structure with a role in inter-institutional cooperation and representation for the development and substantiation of the Government's strategic vision.
In 2021, he served as the Deputy Secretary General of the Romanian Government and during 2019-2021 he was the prefect of Cluj county.
Prior to his experience in public administration, Mircea Abrudean worked in the private sector in the field of business consulting and project management with European funding.
Mircea Abrudean has a bachelor's degree in International Relations and European Studies from BabeÈ™-Bolyai University, and a master's degree in Project Management from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies.
