Jeremy West , Head, Digital Security and Safety Unit, OECD leads a team of digital security and online safety experts who produce objective, evidence-based analysis and policy recommendations. A lawyer with prior experience at the United States Department of Justice and a Washington D.C. law firm, Jeremy specialises in both Internet governance and competition policy. He has also served as a co-chair of the Transparency Working Group of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) and was a Senior Editor of the Antitrust Law Journal. His book An Introduction to Online Platforms and their Role in the Digital Transformation draws insights from deep profiles of the world’s leading platforms. Jeremy is a graduate of Stanford Law School and Swarthmore College, and is a member of the California and District of Columbia Bars.
