Description
Lucía B. Pitarch Mampel is Veterinarian, Counsellor for Agriculture at the Permanent Delegation of Spain to the OECD in Paris since January 2021, attending the Committee of Agriculture and its subsidiary bodies, the Fisheries Committee and the Rural Policies Group.
Before coming to Paris, she was the head of the National and International Reference Laboratories on Animal Health and genetics of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food since 2017. Before becoming the head of the laboratories she had the task of implementing the Integrated Management Systems (quality, environment and occupational risk prevention and biosecurity) following ISO standards with the need to coordinate and collaborate with the different units.
She has carried out stays abroad in the field of the agri-food chain and Laboratories, in Brussels and in Denmark. She has also participated in lectures, working groups, congresses as a representative of the Ministry both nationally and internationally.
She had previous experiences working in the private sector in the implementation of risk management and quality systems on the food sector and experience in biology research.
