Description
Enrico Biele is a Programme Manager at the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development. His current activity focuses on European energy policies, projects and strategies for industry & enterprises, with particular emphasis on the SME business sector. Within the Programme activities, he is the appointed coordinator of the H2020 LEAP4SME and LEAPto11 Life EU funded projects, aimed to improve the energy efficiency policy implementation framework for European businesses. He also serves as Chair of the European National Energy Agencies Industry and Enterprises Working Group (20 National Energy Agencies involved); Member of the Steering Committee of the European Covenant of Companies for Climate and Energy; former member of the UNIDO Industry working group; former member of the EnR Task Forces on the Industrial Decarbonisation Assessment and Smart Energy Sector Integration.
Prior to joining ENEA in 2018, he worked as Programme executive for the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and as Senior policy officer for the Italian Federation for Energy Efficiency.
