Feb 19, 2024 | 2:15 PM - 3:45 PM

Description

Organised by: Colombia Productiva, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia Biodiversity and ancestral knowledge loss pose critical risks that the fashion industry must address to meet its sustainability and circularity targets for 2025 and 2030. Indigenous communities contribute significantly to local and social development and hold invaluable knowledge that preserves and regenerates the environment and its natural fibers. Our speakers will unveil the due diligence challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions. They have experience in system change and regenerative models as well as in bridging artisans and designers with the natural fiber ecosystem, including cotton, camelids, maguey, fique, and hemp fibers in Latin America and the Caribbean.
