Berri Davis joined the U.S. Government Accountability Office in 2011. She is a Director in its Financial Management and Assurance team where she performs both financial and performance audits. Berri’s portfolio includes work related to improper payments, grants management and accountability, inspectors general, health care financial management, and state and local government financial management. She also represents GAO in the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), where she serves in a forum that sets international auditing standards. In 2020 Berri assumed responsibilities for reviewing selected internal controls in various federal programs receiving COVID-19 funding. This work continues, with an emphasis on reducing improper payments in the trillions of U.S. dollars distributed for COVID-19 relief and recovery.
