Biography
Gloria Mills CBE is Member of the Senior Management Group at UNISON responsible for managing equality and membership participation functions. She is a past President of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and current member of the TUC General Council, TUC and ETUC Executive Committee committees. She is also the current elected President of the ETUC Women’s Committee and Public Services International World Women’s Committee.
She is an experienced negotiator, organiser and practitioner in gender, equality and specialisms in Equal Pay, Equal Value, and employment rights legislation. Notably, she has successfully secured the Article 13 of Amsterdam Treaty that gave EU competence in equality and a raft of EU Directives and key achievements on equal gender balance.
