Biography
Marietta Karamanli is a French-Greek politician with a PhD in political science who has taught at university level. Since 2007, as a member of parliament for Sarthe, she has sat on the Law and European Affairs Committees and has distinguished herself through her work on justice, digital technology, and European issues. She is the author of parliamentary texts on digital rights, platform regulation, taxation, and online security. A member of the PACE, she has been rapporteur on the abolition of the death penalty, AI, and the fight against terrorism. In this capacity, she has represented France at the UN and the Francophonie. The author of several books, she is interested in societal issues, the role of women, decentralization, and the future of Europe.
