Biography
Skaidrīte Ābrama, Member of the Parliament (Saeima) of the Republic of Latvia (since 2022). Elected from the Progressives Party, now unaffiliated Member (since June 2025).
Member of the Economic, Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Policy Committee; Member of the Public Expenditure and Audit Committee; former Member of the National Security Committee and the Defence, Internal Affairs and Corruption Prevention Committee.
Former chairwoman of the Competition Council of Latvia (2012-2020).
Included in the prestige survey “Women in Antitrust” issued by “Global Competition Review” thus ranking among the world’s leading women in the field of competition law enforcement (2016).
Former Member of the Office of the OECD Competition Committee (2019-2020).
Main fields of her work – good public governance; assessment of economic development in sectors of the national economy; competition enforcement and advocacy.
Holds a MBA-Degree from the University of Latvia.
