Biography
Marko Pavić is Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and Head of the Croatian Parliament Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). A Member of the Croatian Parliament serving his second term, during which he was chairing the Croatian Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development and European Union Funds and serving as Deputy Chair of the European Affairs Committee. He has held several senior public offices, including Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds and Minister of Labour and Pension System of the Republic of Croatia. Throughout his public service, he has focused on labour market reform, social inclusion, regional development and innovation-driven growth, overseeing cohesion policy, the European Social Fund, and the strategic management of EU funding, as well as initiatives supporting STEM, fostering innovation ecosystems, addressing climate change, and building civil society capacity. He represented Croatia in the EU General Affairs Council (Cohesion format) and the EPSCO Council, and played an important role in negotiations on the EU Multiannual Financial Framework.
