Biography
Juris Viļums has focused his career on the development of the Latgale (Eastern Latvia) region, as well as on politics and civic life. He has long been interested in economics, governance, and social processes, which became his profession and personal mission.
He worked at the Latgale Region Development Agency and the Latgale Planning Region, managing regional development projects, and has been actively involved in civil society.
Juris was elected to the Saeima (the Parliament of Latvia) in its 11th, 12th, and 14th convocations. He is also a board member of the political party “Latvian Regional Alliance.”
