Lawyer. After graduating from Marmara University, Faculty of Law, he earned a master’s degree in International Arbitration and Commercial Law from the University of London. He entered politics in June 2015, elected as MP for Ağrı from the HDP, and was re-elected in November 2015. In 2023, he was elected MP for Diyarbakır from the Green Left Party. After the party became the DEM Party, he was elected Co-Spokesperson of its Foreign Affairs Commission. He is also a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Foreign Affairs Commission and PACE since 2023.
