Nico Tyabji is an Investment Director at Mirova. He joined Mirova’s Emerging Market Energy Transition (EMET) team (formerly SunFunder) in 2016 and has played a key role in building its leading presence in Africa and other emerging market distributed clean energy investments. Nico has led transactions and been part of deal teams deploying funds across multiple EMET investment areas and worked on raising over $450m of blended finance funds. He has been a regular contributor to energy access and blended finance events and working groups. Previously Nico worked at Bloomberg New Energy Finance in London, initiating BNEF’s coverage of distributed solar in Africa, leading projects that included Climatescope to promote public and private investment in emerging market clean energy and climate action. He has a Masters in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, New York.
