Biography
Francesco Verducci is a Professor of Political Sociology and Communication at Macerata University. He published several books, among which: “Politics 2.0. Crisis and Vitality of Democracy at the time of web society”)
In 2012, he became a Member of Parliament and he served in the Chamber of Deputies until the end of the XVI Legislature.
Since 2013 he has been a Senator of the Italian Republic, elected with the Democratic Party. He was member of the Treasury Committee (XVII Legislature), then he became vice-President of the Committee for the Governance and Regulation of RAI and also member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe into Committee on Migration (XVII Legislature) and Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination (XVII, XVIII and XIX Legislatures).
In the XVIII Legislature, he was vice-president of Seventh Committee (culture, public education), and since 2021 he is vice-president of Extraordinary Committee on combating racism, anti-semitism, intolerance.
