Member of Parliament, Member of the Committee on Plan and Budget
Born in Istanbul (in 1958)
Mechanical Engineer. Completed his education at the Aachen Technical University in Rhineland-Westphalia, Germany.
He was involved in publishing for many years. He served on the editorial boards of the Encyclopedia of Socialism and Social Struggles and the Economics journal. He worked as an editor, columnist, managing editor, and political commentator for various newspapers, magazines, and TV channels. He served as the deputy chairman of the Freedom and Solidarity Party, which he co-founded. He was among the founders of the Equality and Democracy Party (DEM PARTY) and the Green and Left Future Party (YSP). He participated in the Democracy, Freedom, and Labor Bloc's work in the 2007 and 2011 elections, and later in the founding of the Peoples' Democratic Congress and the Peoples' Democratic Party. He served as a member of the Central Executive Committee from 2013 onwards.
He was elected Member of Parliament from Antalya and Istanbul. He is the Deputy Group Leader of the Green and Left Future Party (YSP). He most recently served as the Deputy Group Leader of the DEP Party.
