Biography
Johannes Gasser (born April 5, 1991, in Bregenz, Austria) is an Austrian politician and economist serving as a Member of the National Council for the liberal party "NEOS – The New Austria" since October 2024. Before entering national politics, he represented NEOS in the Vorarlberg State Parliament from 2019 to 2024, where he later became parliamentary group chair. He has held key party roles at regional and national level. During the 2024/25 coalition negotiations between he served as lead negotiator for health, social, labour and family policy. With academic training in economics and political science, he promotes evidence-based policymaking focusing on social policy, labour market reform and gender equality.
