Ben Smith is a principal policy advisor at Inland Revenue in New Zealand. He has 15 years’ experience working on New Zealand’s tax system. He provides advice to the Government on tax administration and GST/VAT policy issues and more recently led advice on New Zealand’s response to the growth of the gig and sharing economy from a taxation perspective. His background includes service delivery and implementation roles.
