Description

Alessandra Bonfiglioli is a Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics of University of Bergamo and a Research Fellow at CEPR (Centre for Economic Policy Research) and Centro Luca d’Agliano. Previously, she was a Professor of Economics at Queen Mary University of London and an Assistant Professor at Pompeu Fabra University. She has served in the editorial board of JEEA and of Economica. Alessandra, who holds a PhD in economics from Stockholm University and IIES, is a macroeconomist mostly interested in international trade, growth and income inequality, and political economy. Her recent research studies how the diffusion of new technologies (robots and AI) affects, and interacts with, economic performance, labor market outcomes, international trade and the environment. She is also active in public engagement as a member of the editorial board of LaVoce.it (an Italian Economic blog) and a recurrent guest at Bergamo TV.
