Since December 2021, Juliane Seifert holds the position of State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community. Previously, she was State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. From 2016-2107 she was Federal Manger of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), and from 2013 – 2016 she was Head of the Division for Policy Planning and Social Analyses at the State Chancellery of the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate. Juliane studied history and political science at Heinrich Heine University, Düsseldorf, and at the University of Florence, Italy. She holds an M.A. in history and political science from Humboldt University, Berlin and a Master of European Governance and Administration, École Nationale d’Administration from Sorbonne University, France, and the University of Potsdam.
