Description

A graduate of the Université Cheikh Anta DIOP de Dakar (UCAD) with a PhD in Economics, majoring in Development Economics, Dr. Momath CISSE also holds a Diplôme d'Ingénieur Statisticien Économiste from the École Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Analyse Économique (ENSAE) and a Licence en Mathématiques Appliquées et Informatique from the Université Gaston Berger (UGB). Prior to his current position, he was Coordinator of the Partnership Management Unit and Director of Methodology, Statistical Coordination and Innovation at ANSD. Recently, he led the development of Senegal's new National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (SNDS IV, 2024-2028), the aim of which is to provide a coherent and concerted framework for realizing the vision of the National Statistical System (SSN), which reads as follows: “a national statistical system that is stable, coherent, open, efficient and meets users' needs”.
