Description
Ivan Alonso Delgado is the Director and founder of the Climate Change Directorate of the Ministry of the Environment of Costa Rica. With more than 18 years of experience in the creation of climate public policies, he has served as coordinator of the area of adaptation and resilience. His experience covers issues of environmental education, access and use of climate services for decision-making, creation of adaptation metrics at the local level, loss and damage, evaluation of climate resilience policies, programs and projects. He coordinates financing processes for the empowerment of communities, civil society and the private sector in the face of the climate emergency.
