Description

Strong vocation and experience in team leading and project management, in international business environment, her main interests/focus are climate action, sustainability, technology transfer, circular economy, and support for sustainable economic, social and environmental development. MJM holds a Master’s and a Degree in Biological Engineering, a Post—Graduation in Environmental Technologies and an Executive MBA. She is Efrican Executive Director where, among others, she is co-coordinating the “Roadmap for Carbon Sustainability of São Tomé e Príncipe”, a project that contribute for STP economic growth, reducing its GHG emissions, and for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, protecting national Forest. She is also co-coordinating 3 Adaptation and Mitigation projects in Cabo Verde, related with sustainable tourism and natural capital protection. Last year, Efrican finish the “Roadmap for Carbon Sustainability in Principe Island”, a project under her coordination. MJM has a large experience in climate change, renewable energies, and sustainability, as well as environmental technologies, having developed some R&D/technology projects with Minho and Porto Universities. Through several years, has been leading projects in Portugal, Angola, Ghana, Moçambique, São Tomé e Príncipe, Cabo Verde and Oman, among others. MJM was a speaker in several Conferences highlighting the UNFCCC COP21, 22 and 23 and 26.
