Monika Bańka has a Master Degree in International Relationships from the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland. She completed a series of trainings on international trade relations organized by the Polish Ministry of Economy. She led the Lubelskie Regional Office in Brussels for more than 5 years where she focused on the maintaining of the region’s relations with the EU institutions and other regional offices. From 2011 to 2014 she worked at the Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Marshal Office of Lubelskie Voivodship where she was involved in planning and managing projects related to the internationalisation of SMEs. She ran the EU funded projects on a national and regional level. She has also an experience in the private sector. As the Network and Policy Coordinator in the European Chemical Regions Network, she manages members’ relations and Network’s policy. Working closely with the regions and monitoring EU legislative developments, she supports the Network’s members in connecting the European and regional dimensions of policy- making to support the EU chemical industry and raising awareness of EU initiatives or funding opportunities.
