Junior Policy Analyst
Description
Callum Thomas is a Junior Policy Analyst with the OECD’s Private Finance for Sustainable Development team. In this role, his work has centred on a variety of topics related to the mobilisation of private finance to Emerging Markets and Developing Economies. He has helped develop a working paper focused on local currency mobilisation in addressing foreign exchange exposure risks in SME and infrastructure sectors, along with a policy paper looking at the role that catalytic technical assistance plays in addressing systemic macro-level challenges in unlocking private finance flows.
Prior to joining the OECD team, Callum has worked across the Asia-Pacific region in a number of roles including positions with the UNCDF, UNFPA, UNDP and ADB through the support of a 2020 New Colombo Plan Scholarship and 2022 Yenching Academy scholarship. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Curtin University, a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Western Australia, and a Master’s of Law from Peking University.
