Description
Carla Hornberg is a sociologist and postdoctoral researcher in the “Skill Formation and Labor Markets” department at the WZB - Berlin Social Science Center. She earned her PhD and M.A. in sociology from the Freie Universität Berlin. Her research focuses on the international comparison of social inequality dynamics, particularly on educational and labor market inequalities, adult education and training, and the digitalization of work. In her research, she uses PIAAC data. She has contributed to two interdisciplinary EU Horizon projects: TECHNEQUALITY and MapIneq. She has published her findings in peer-reviewed journals as well as open science outlets to support evidence-based policymaking. She has also gained professional experience working in the office of former German President Horst Köhler and at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
