Description
Vibeke Jakobsen is a senior researcher at VIVE – The Danish Center for Social Science Research. She holds an MA in Economics from Aalborg University and a PhD in Economics from Aarhus School of Business. Her research focuses on vulnerable groups in the labour market, with particular emphasis on immigrants and people with disabilities. She has been a member of the Danish PIAAC team and is a co-author of four reports based on PIAAC data, which examine literacy, numeracy, and adaptive problem-solving skills among adults in Denmark, as well as the relationship between these skills and labour market participation. Additionally, she has co-authored a report using data from PISA 2009 and PIAAC Cycle 2 to analyse developments in young people's literacy proficiency from 2009 to 2022/2023. Vibeke has has previously written articles on topics such as the transition from school to work for young immigrants, poverty risk among older immigrants in Denmark and how to measure employability of refugees. She has extensive experience in quantitative analysis using both survey and administrative register data, as well as in the design and implementation of questionnaire-based surveys.
