Filtering GardenParque Orla de Piratininga Alfredo Sirkis

In the State of Rio de Janeiro, one of the main examples of filter gardens is the system installed in Parque Orla de Piratininga, in Niterói, which treats more than 35,000 m² of vegetated systems to clean water from urban rivers and rainwater, without the use of chemicals, with technology based on plants and microorganisms.

In terms of environmental sustainability, the Piratininga Shore Park is currently the largest project in Brazil utilizing Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) techniques.
